From today's prompt. It's a poem I think I've wanted to write for a while but never got around to.

Fear

You’re rich when you have none, But it’s a valuable currency, Soldier through it as one, Or use it to show no clemency

It can burst your bubble, Or keep you in the dark of a box, Keep you out of trouble, Or trap us all within our own flocks

Sober minds may stop it, But it will not ever go away, It’s far too essential, Evolution wants to have its say

FDR’s famous quote, Makes no sense when you think about it, Don’t fear but still fear Fear? It’s a fact we’d be dead without it
