A poem of honor.

honor

by staywiththemoon

You must keep going.

Even with all the blood running down your face,

You recall the day

Your father set his hand on your shoulder and said,

“Darling, No matter what anyone tells you about

Stopping Or giving up

Don’t listen to them. You must keep going.”

Even with all your injuries, Even with the searing pain

You push the thought of giving up To the back of your mind And focus on one thing:

Honoring your father's wish.

@bernardtwindwil Yeah, in this poem the person in question only got to this many lengths because they lost their father. I guess loss is one of the ways people can get like this in this poem.

This was well written the way you arrayed your words within the verses was eloquent. I loved the message. Don't be disappointed later in life if there are only a handful of people like the one you described. Great post!!!!
