Grinding the sands of sunsets and starlight.

Sunglasses and Sunsets

As pages turn like waves that lull the heart’s horizon,

As pages turn like waves that lull the heart’s horizon, drowsy blues peel down to a final hush of diamonds.

After sighs of tangerine to turquoise,

After sighs of tangerine to turquoise, skies drape stories in blankets of ink

After sighs of tangerine to turquoise, skies drape stories in blankets of ink and drink our dreams that taste of dozed daylight.

Yet, can sunglasses halt time,

halt the universe?

Can two curtains of orange glass tint the world in fire,

Can two curtains of orange glass tint the world in fire, in artificial sunshine that curls to toes of sunsets?

As this chapter folds in starlight,

As this chapter folds in starlight, the answer is fluid, always in transition.

(Afterword) Hey, all! So, I wrote a short poem tonight after feeling a bit pensive yesterday after reading a novel ('Kafka by the Shore') and looking at the sunset. :)

This piece is basically about delaying the end of a sunset. I hope that was clear and that you all enjoyed this one, as it was enjoyable to write this piece.

You all take care and keep writing, thank you for reading! You all are awesome! <3
