The lesser me

I belonged to the battlefield,

I belonged to the battlefield, and she to the nurse.

I belonged to the battlefield, and she to the nurse. Her words, often laughable,

I belonged to the battlefield, and she to the nurse. Her words, often laughable, because she was the lesser one.

A charm in her I sought,

A charm in her I sought, without her, I can't stem a life.

A charm in her I sought, without her, I can't stem a life, but she's always told to button it,

A charm in her I sought, without her, I can't stem a life, but she's always told to button it, because she wasn't divine.

All the pain she soused,

All the pain she soused, in loathe she swam,

All the pain she soused, in loathe she swam, yet she radiated through obstructions,

All the pain she soused, in loathe she swam, yet she radiated through obstructions, like a colloidal offering Tyndall.

An inferior God,

An inferior God, not even close to saintly,

An inferior God, not even close to saintly, meek and gentle, was all she held in pride.

An inferior God, not even close to saintly, meek and gentle, was all she held in pride. A blasphemy,

An inferior God, not even close to saintly, meek and gentle, was all she held in pride. A blasphemy, God himself created,

An inferior God, not even close to saintly, meek and gentle, was all she held in pride. A blasphemy, God himself created, always termed "the one he never favoured."

She has all what in me you see,

She has all what in me you see, yet she's labelled,

She has all what in me you see, yet she's labelled, the lesser me.
