Contemplation

He paddled in rythemic cycles,

He paddled in rythemic cycles, leisurely in beaten spirit;

He paddled in rythemic cycles, leisurely in beaten spirit; body conferring years of drudgery,

He paddled in rythemic cycles, leisurely in beaten spirit; body conferring years of drudgery, wet wear even in cold's dormancy.

The blue shined in his brown,

The blue shined in his brown, and white that bedecked the sky,

The blue shined in his brown, and white that bedecked the sky, could never kiss his clothes.

Such miracle, of a lotus,

Such miracle, of a lotus, emanating clean from mud,

Such miracle, of a lotus, emanating clean from mud, can never be engineered by his form;

Such miracle, of a lotus, emanating clean from mud, can never be engineered by his form; fogged dreams behind milky eyes.

Such beauteous form around, he can't appreciate,

Such beauteous form around, he can't appreciate, can only relate to clogged water in the drains.

His uninviting thoughts,

His uninviting thoughts, grew heavy on his feet;

His uninviting thoughts, grew heavy on his feet; and he paddled ever so slowly,

His uninviting thoughts, grew heavy on his feet; and he paddled ever so slowly, towards his shanty.
