A battle with the wind

I stood there, in muted rain,

I stood there, in muted rain, with umbrella atop my face;

I stood there, in muted rain, with umbrella atop my face; waiting for the traffic lights,

I stood there, in muted rain, with umbrella atop my face; waiting for the traffic lights, to give permissions and retire my place.

Green soon coruscated, crowd traversed,

Green soon coruscated, crowd traversed, an unchallenging wind did blow;

Green soon coruscated, crowd traversed, an unchallenging wind did blow; but as i tread, along the barred cross,

Green soon coruscated, crowd traversed, an unchallenging wind did blow; but as i tread, along the barred cross, the wind started its brawl.

It tugged my gamp, once and twice,

It tugged my gamp, once and twice, thrice and many a times;

It tugged my gamp, once and twice, thrice and many a times; two vigours, pulling opposites,

It tugged my gamp, once and twice, thrice and many a times; two vigours, pulling opposites, none wanted to pause.

My crisp formals, dampened,

My crisp formals, dampened, but i didn't care a whit;

My crisp formals, dampened, but i didn't care a whit; because i was engrossed, wrestling,

My crisp formals, dampened, but i didn't care a whit; because i was engrossed, wrestling, my own battle with the wind.
