I grinned at the person in front of me. She had red hair, glasses, beautiful, blue eyes, and decent looking clothes. She looked at me blankly.
"Huh?" She blinked.
"My. Name. Is. Vera." I say slower.
She shakes her head, "No, I mean, what-"
Then it's my turn to shake my head, "That's not how you're supposed to respond, you're supposed to give me your name."
She snickered and laughed, "Sam Parker's my name, it's nice to meet you." She smiled brightly.
I smiled with her, "So, ya wanna be friends, yeah?"
She nodded, "Yup! Hey, since you go here, you have an element, right? What is it?"
I blinked, then grinned widely, "Mhm, water's mine! Watch!" I take out my water bottle that I always carry, I open the cap, set it down, and take a deep breath.
I focus on the water inside, I imagine being in the bottle, with the water around me, flowing slowly, and peacefully. The water rises and I smile as it goes back in, "Pretty cool, huh?"
She nodded quickly, "Amazing!"
I put the cap back on, then raise an eyebrow, "Your turn."
She nods, "My element is love, I can't really show you though-"
I paused, frowning, "Well, how's it work?"
Her face gets a bit red, "Well, I can help people fall in love-"
We hear the bell ring, "OH CRAP-" We say in unison.
I rush up the stairs and call behind me, "Well, it's good to know your element, see you around!"
Unfortunately... I didn't hear her words before I entered the doors.
"Yeah, see you around, when you're begging for your life." She says as she walks up the stairs into the school, and to our classroom.
