I know I am supposed to let you go If I ever did love you so dearly.

Still Think About You

I know I am supposed to let you go

If I ever did love you so dearly.

Unfortunately, I pass by the fountain

And I think about you.

I work on my math homework

And I think about you.

I wonder if you ever did

Or if you just felt I'd come and go.

I know what I said was hurtful,

But, you and I are not so different.

Your growth was a struggle

As if you climbed Mount Everest

While I grew up as my demons,

Which haunted me like the Rake.

Your father left you at 3 years of age.

Mines stopped loving me at 19.

Some days I wonder if you'll ever

Come back and we can try again.

Unfortunately, I just know deep down,

In my heart that still misses you,

That you'll pursue bigger things.

Bigger than me. Bigger than what we had.

The clock strikes midnight

And I still think about you.
