Kills me to know, I'll only ever be her friend...

Just a friend

I wonder what she's like

Why she's scared to speak her mind

If she rides a bike

I wonder if she cooks

Does she daydream or brood

What's her favorite book

When she talks to me I'm just a friend

Can't see that ever coming to an end

I really love her hair

So tempting I want to touch it

Whisper in her ear I'll try not to stare

I wish I knew who was her type

Not that it would matter

She doesn't seem to wear any stripes

The funny thing is I'll never ask

She'll never wonder about me like that

The glass between smudged with my fingerprints

My blood on the surface won't even give her a hint

And it's because

When she talks to me I'm just a friend

Can't see that ever coming to an end
