Poem about a creature that lives in us all.

Ugly

by shygirl

It lives under bridges. The dark and damp are what comforts it. It always hops from shadow to shadow.

The teeth are sharp, crooked, and a hideous hue of brown-tinged yellow.

The hands have disgusting claws with knarled fingers that are covered in warts.

The hair is nothing but a few greasy black strings.

The face is one that not even a mother could tolerate. Squinted eyes, severely long and crooked nose, and covered in gigantic boils.

It feeds off the innocent and the filth that society tosses away and lets flow under the bridge. It grows and grows unless it's not fed.

But this is not a troll-like creature at all. It is the ugly that lives inside us all.
