I found this thing that I wrote in a diary when I was 15 years old. Things were rocking in Quebec and there were many, many student protests.

March 28th

by shutupge

Today, I went to a protest.

A real, big, hell of a protest.

I shouted and I felt my guts.

I shouted and everybody shouted.

I ran and I felt my chest.

I ran and everybody ran.

I walked and couldn't feel my feet anymore.

I stopped and we all stopped.

Today, I felt like I was part of something.

We were on the subway, we danced, we sang, we laughed, we screamed and we jumped.

I didn't know them but we recognized each other.

"Tell me what democracy looks like."

"This is what democracy looks like."

@sarah5 Yes, I loved going to protests! I can't quite explain why. I did have some bad experiences, though, with police, teargas and all that jazz
