A dark poem about two broken hearts

Crimson Glass

You were the boldest crimson,

I was an elegant sky.

You were the blind one,

I know the reasons I cry.

Now we're covered in broken glass,

The crimson staining us too,

I was the broken sky,

And you were crimson glass.

The evening set on us.

The world a warm hue,

Oh there's so much left to do.

The shutter of words so treasonous.

They break us apart.

They rip out the heart.

Now we're covered in broken glass,

The crimson staining us too,

I was the broken cry,

And you were crimson brass.

The sky turned black,

As we parted from this broken crack.

The evening birds may coo,

But we have nothing left to do.

Now we're bleeding out fast,

But one of us will be last,

We're wounded by the broken glass.

Rejected off the hurting brass.

Now we're just stuck in crimson glass.

Oh,

We've all been crimson glass,

And elegant blue.

Oh,

We had so much left to do.
