Memories as plays

by rose4112

I try not to think of you if I can

But my brain says that's not the plan

I think of you a million and one times a day

Our memories like repeating plays

I remember your hair was soft when I ran my fingers through

Oh god if only then I knew

That nothing is meant to last forever

That maybe we aren't meant to end up together

Because at first we were like feathers

Floating around in sunshine weather

But now we're a tornado

Chaotically spinning, but never quite letting go

Are these poem actually your experiences or are they fictional. i can not tell. Your writing is mournful and disconsolate. If this is real, is writing helping? You write well.
