Before the day breaks

Before the day breaks Her bed's already been made

Before the day breaks Her bed's already been made Past latched on her back

Before the day breaks Her bed's already been made Past latched on her back Smile nor weary or fake

Before the day breaks Her bed's already been made Past latched on her back Smile nor weary or fake Even though, one day

Before the day breaks Her bed's already been made Past latched on her back Smile nor weary or fake Even though, one day Her son, will not awake

I don't usually do this but I'd like to add something personal on this piece

It has been my impression that the message we are sending to women today is that in order to be accepted they must be like boys /man

Being a mother, creating a home, and all these things have been shoved to the side as if they were meaningless and secondary activities

The reason that the hero is portrayed as the masculine is because the sacrifice that a woman is meant to make has been given to her from birth

If you, as a woman, know what the world is really like, and you still decide to bring life into it, you MUST be one hell of a strong person

The role of a woman is, imo that of a silent hero who does what is right and does not care about attention, or even gratitude

The role of the mother is to instill as much love and courage as they possibly can into their children, so that they may have a chance at surviving the suffering of life

She does all these things full knowing that she won't be able to keep them from harm.

How is it that we allowed something this big to be taken from us?
