I tried to find her in sunlight Through my window screen I tried searching in moonlight The elusive songbird unseen

The beauty of her presence In the sweet days of Spring I realized though I can't see her Her singing is quite supreme

So I gave up searching The peering through the screen Now with my eyes closed I enjoy her beauty site unseen
