i love reading so much

it's like an escape to another world

although most books provide and escape to a less shitty world

some books,

like the one i just finished

*cough*The Book Thief*cough*

, we make ourselves endure and understand the pain and sadness going on in the book, whatever book it may be

example: The Book Thief is a historical fiction novel about the Holocaust

as you can probably guess,it's not light hearted

but i love it so much

even though it's sad and dark,

it still provides an escape, even if it's to an even worse place than you,the reader, are currently

you become friends with the characters and you form bonds with them

take Liesel,for example

she was there through the whole book and it's like i'm right there experiencing every story, every attack, every chat with Max, and every vision of her brother

i think thats why when a character dies, you feel so sad because it's like they were your friend and then they're gone

that being said, i have read a lot of books as well that have just been so boring and you almost feel bad

because i, personally, feel like i have disrespected an author if i can't finish their book

i guess that just a me thing though lol

but yeah books are up there on the list of my favorite things for sure

my favorite book, though,(if you were wondering) is We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson
