Rage

Rage

A constant companion

Loneliness's favorite friend

He's easy to love,

Crouched in your throat,

Camped in your heart,

At first he feels empty

Until his claws sink into you,

It feels... good.

He can burn away pain,

When he makes you hold your breath so you won't cry,

And you hold yourself so tightly together nothing escapes.

Soon you aren't thinking anything,

White noise more vast than the sea,

A silent scream

A plea.
