THE EMPTY CHAIR

by revrjm

I look across the room and see - an empty chair. You won't be here, this year - on Christmas Day. Tears rim my eyes, my heart sighs. It will be hard this year, looking at that empty chair.

Wonderful memories of yesteryear flood my heart and mind, as I gaze at your empty chair.

Your smile, your charm, Your warm embrace. I will miss you Mom on Christmas Day.

This was not only lyrical and well written with words chosen imparting emotional. I have read a lot of simple minded bullshit over missing Mom. This was not in that genre. I want you to know how much I enjoyed this poem and its tribute to mothers everywhere. Great poem!!!!!!
