I Remember When

by revrjm

I remember when

My life began again The day I repented of my sins. I remember when.

I remember when

I lifted up my hands; Your mercy came rushing in. I remember when.

I remember when

Your Holy Spirit baptized me; I danced before You then. I remember when.

I remember when

I was born again; I love You now more than then, Because I remember when.

Thank you Bernard, I wasn't raised in the church. I was raised on the bitter side of abuse. The church saved me from destruction. What I have learned and experienced from (not religion) but from a relationship, is God is merciful, kind, and longsuffering. It's sad that Christians would paint the church with dark, dreary colors of hatred, anger and bitterness. Not, me my friend. I use vivid colors of yellow, orange, purple and red. I hope you understand my analogy.

I have a great deal of appreciation for your vision of Christianity being a religion of peace and love. So many Christians around where I live are filled with hate, fear, and off-message pronouncements. Your message will help give the Christians something for which for reach. Great post!!!!
