My Happy Pill

by reinevarda

You're like my happy pill,

without you I'm always helplessly ill.

I used you just so I could be still,

but all you do is mask me from what is real.

You carved the smiles on my face,

and you made my heart race.

I grew to follow your ways,

and you began to change all of my days.

As I borrow the joy from tomorrow,

I swear, only you that I will follow

But as my happiness turns into sorrow,

once again, my life becomes hollow.
