The lights were rolling along the way home,
Speeding past them faster and faster,
Until the sight of the stars became unfamiliar,
Unrecognizable in all but the blurry memory,
Like any other, inhabiting my mind.
I want to let go of all distracting factors,
Cactus spikes in my neck,
Thrown away for a joyful run,
Pace back and forth,
Time running short.
Until nobody pulls me by force,
I will stop in my rush,
Take it in and save it memorized,
Views with remarkable hues,
Shades of reds, oranges, blues.
