A poem about our connection with Mother Nature

The Old Willow

Who is it that tastes the old willow’s love?

Is it the starry sky above, or upon a bough, the turtle dove?

Is it the humble soil, who freely bestows the delta’s boon

To roots as deep, and wide as the moon?

Is it EagleBear, upon his noble steed,

Standing in shade, below the leaves that drape in chatreuse green?
