How Deep

by Eden Davis (2014)

There is no blame

each life is under the responsibility of its own.

Nobody will own another’s life when belonging to

becomes belonging with.

Always give love another chance

For nothing else in this world feels good without it.

Fear is what we perceive it to be

Are we to stand here alone waiting for the savior in and of our own minds?

The past must be something that frees us to the future

The present, then, is the one thing that sees us as we are now.

How far will the mind search for the peace of its soul?

How deep will emotion dive for the love in its heart?

How long will we live in these bodies

yearning for our minds desires and soulful dreams?

Possibly attainable ~ positively essential ~ forever promising they’ll come true.

This was knowledgeable and philosophically inquisitive. There was a heavy tone of tranquility, as well. As if you're staring into the deepest caverns of your mind and relinquishing in these thoughts. Truly amazing.

It must have been very difficult and time-consuming, writing a poem that is so well written and structured, and at the same time magical and breath-taking. You left me amazed. I hope I'll see more of your amazing poems in your gallery!

OK, you are right. This is poetry to die for. You managed to bring an adult responsibility to the forum on love. I enjoy the existential questions you pose. The verses are powerful and memorable. This is not only technically well written, it is written on an etherial level suffering no loss in meter.
