I wrote an oddly specific poem

Red Satin Silk

I'm on the edge of a boat

Water deep

Mind asleep

I could just jump

Soak my red satin dress

I'm a mess

I wish I could fly

To the light house off in the distance

Blue bricks built

Structurely perfect

I won't be told

No

You can't try to say

No

People want stupid perfection

That's not perfect either

Just don't say

No

Quiet me

Flood my thoughts with perfect images of the world sumerged and dying let me be silent and hoping and hoping and rambling

No

You can try to understand me

You can try to see me

You can try to love me

No

I'm just flying

As my red shoes fall in the ocean

Looking ahead

And almost falling

I am a firebird

I am powerful

I am wonderful

You can't stop me

You can't say

NO

No one can taint my blood red sashes

No one can ever touch my feet

I just want the world to be kind and kind to people as I hope and ramble and hope and ramble ramble ramble ramble

JUST SAY NO

Tell me I'm wrong

Tell me I'm dumb

Fully submerge me and dress me in white

White silk flowing nightmare of fabric

Soft to the touch

I'm here to scream

And shout

And practically die inside

Let's be one

In the land of the sun

Let's live in a lighthouse

Made of blue, blue-grey, blue brick

Let's jump off this boat

You and I

We'll be fine

I have you

I am whole

Let's be one

In the land of the sun

You and I

You and I

We are one
