Our Love Part #5

It was like any other ordinary day at my grandfather’s house; I was watching YouTube in the living room until I suddenly heard a thundering knock at the door.

“Get the door!” my grandfather yelled from the other room. I rolled my eyes, paused the video I was watching, went to the door and opened it, only to be greeted by Jeremy.

“What do you want?” I asked in a slightly annoyed tone. “Can you come outside?” he asked. Before I answered, I looked over his shoulder and saw Gavin just pacing back and forth awkwardly in the road looking at me.

I smirked and told Jeremy I’d be right out. I quickly closed the door, ran into my room and put on a pair of boots, turned the TV off, then ran outside.

When I got outside and saw Gavin, I got butterflies in my stomach.“Don’t do anything dumb”, I thought. As the three of us were walking back to Jeremy’s house, I took Gavin’s hat off of his head and put it on. “Hi my name is Gavin, and I’m in love with (My name)!” I yelled, trying to mimic Gavin and hoping it was true.

He just blushed and smiled while Jeremy was laughing hysterically. When we got to the house, the three of us stood outside talking. It was a bit cold outside, so I asked if I could borrow a sweatshirt from Jeremy since he was closer to my size then Gavin was.

“Here, take mine ”, Gavin said, as he was taking it off and handing it to me. “Are you sure?” I asked, with a slight blush on my face. He and I argued for a few seconds, and I ended up wearing it. Gavin, Jermey, and I continued to walk around until Gavin went inside to get something.

When he closed the door, I looked at Jeremy. I had to tell someone how I felt about Gavin, it had been gnawing at me the whole day. So I took a deep breath, preparing for the worst.

“Hey Jeremy, there's something I need to tell you.” “Sure, what's up?” “I have a crush on somebody.” “That’s cool.” “Yeah it is cool, but there is one problem.” “What's the problem?” “I like Gavin, your cousin.”
