Our Love: part #1

Everybody has that one event in their lives that changes them, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. There is one event, in particular, that has changed me for the better.

It was when I met this boy, and this boy has made me become a better person. Our story has many ups and downs, just like any teenage romance.

The day I met this boy, I did not realize he would become something way more to me. I remember that day like it was yesterday, even though in reality, it was not. So here goes nothing…

The day was like any normal summer day, besides the fact that the streets were flooded.

I was just gazing out the window, thinking about nothing special, until suddenly my grandfather came into the room.

“Your friend is outside,” he said in a slightly annoyed tone, “Why don’t you go outside and hang out.”

“But do I have to?” I asked, with a slight frown on my face.

“Yes you do, you've done nothing but sitting inside watching Netflix.”

So after a short quarrel with my grandfather, I put on a pair of flip-flops and stepped outside.

Standing in a large puddle, kicking water was my friend, Jack, who happily greeted me, and a chubby, red-headed boy who looked at me confused.

“Who is this?” I asked Jack, gesturing to the other boy. “Oh this is Jeremy, I just met him today!” he said excitedly, and I just nodded at Jeremy and he nodded back.

So after talking to Jeremy and Jack for what seemed like hours, cracking a few jokes here and there, all three of us headed to Jeremy's house and sat in the front yard.

The boys and I continued to talk and make jokes, until Jeremy opened the mailbox, revealing a small spider inside of it. I have very bad arachnophobia, so I was not happy at all. “Get that thing out of there!” I shouted, backing away quickly from the mailbox.

“What are you so scared of?” “There is a spider in there, and I’m extremely terrified of spiders,” I explained “But why?” “Don’t ask questions, just please get it out!” So after about roughly five minutes, Jeremy killed the spider.

“My mom is going to be so happy with me,” He said with a smile on his face. Suddenly, someone walked out of the house, and that someone was a girl. She had a paintbrush in one hand and a tube of paint in the other. She also had dirty blonde hair, stunning blue eyes, and freckles on her face. She had a look on her face that can only be described as a mixture of genuine confusion and annoyance.
