the tears that followed when she left

tears

my tears are a shameful perception of my sadness

running down my cheeks as you run away

they reach my mouth and i taste the salt

from all the times we watched the sunset at the bay

they drip off my chin onto the flowers we planted

in hopes they'd be grown for our marriage

my eyes now droughted, they need something else to cry

if i see you again, it will be easy to find
