Hello Papayas! I’ve seen quite a few posts recently asking for book recommendations, so I thought I’d make a post with some books you guys might love!
The Lunar Chronicles by Marrissa Meyer. If you like sci-fi and romance novels and looking for a longer series, I recommend reading this. Books in order: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Fairest, Winter, and Stars Above. There’s also two graphic novels,(Wires and Nerve), that you should read before or after Stars above.
The Lunar Chronicles by Marrissa Meyer. Google’s description of the first book: As plague ravages the overcrowded Earth, observed by a ruthless lunar people, Cinder, a gifted mechanic and cyborg, becomes involved with handsome Prince Kai and must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect the world in this futuristic take on the Cinderella story.
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. This became a movie a few years ago, but I enjoyed the book way more. If you’re looking for a romance novel, then I’d read this.
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. Google’s description of the book: Much like The Fault in Our Stars, Everything, Everything is about a sick teenage girl who falls in love with a boy. Sounds pretty simple, right? Wrong. The story follows Madeline (Maddy) Whittier, an 18-year-old who is confined to her home because she suffers from SCID, or severe combined immunodeficiency.
The Siren by Kiera Cass. Another romance novel, but includes magic,(sorry, I love romance novels!).
The Siren by Kiera Cass. Google’s description was horrible, so I’ll sum it up myself. Kahlen is a siren; a slave to the Ocean. She is to lure innocent people to their deaths for 100 years. Kahlen has followed the Ocean’s rules for decades, until she meets Akinli. They soon fall in love and Kahlen finds herself questioning what she will risk for love.
If I Stay by Gayle Forman. You feel like crying? Then read this book. There is a second book, but it was terrible, so I don’t recommend it. This book didn’t need a sequel.
If I Stay by Gayle Forman My description: Mia Hall is a teenager that is trying to plan out her future. But everything changes one morning after a fatal accident. Mia is now caught between life and death and has to make a decision; go with her family into death or stay with her boyfriend and pursue her dream as a cellist.
Heartless by Marrissa Meyer. If you enjoyed reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, then you’ll enjoy Marrissa Meyer’s story for the Queen of Hearts. To sum it up, it’s the backstory for the Queen of Hearts. It’s dark and it’s heartbreaking. I love it so much.
The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon. Honestly, everyone’s heard of this one, so I won’t need to give a description. It’s a romance.
Sorry most of these are romances. That’s literally all I read. If you have any books you want me to read, DM me and I’ll put it on a reading list!
Have an amazing day, Papayas!
