Parts of me aren't on the same page

The Brain Around the Corner

My soul was born in the velvet underground But it took a minute for my body to come around

My soul is smoke, water, and neon lights With sweet moments and sweet sacrifice

It just took a minute for my head to come around My brain is gone on a stroll through town

But my heart is pure and made of gold It's tough and it sparkles in its own mold

It just took a minute for my feet to come around If only my actions would match my sound

My hands are pure fire and i'll burn you Love adds to the flame so hot its blue

So it doesn't matter who, when, or where As long as every part of me will meet me there

Because there is no giving me away

When my brain already left but my heart wants me to stay
