Sailing toward nothingness, I drift into the void.
Tendrils of darkness twist and curl, clasping onto me, dragging me down to the depths.
Scratching and clawing, I attempt to ascend.
Sanctuary just out of my reach, ever confined in shadows.
Behind a mask I hide, posing as calm, while war rages inside.
From the first breath of golden light,
To the whisper of the silver night,
But it is hard to escape, when your captor is yourself.
Defeat seemingly imminent, you become lost, surrendering to the demon within.
Aimlessly wandering, doomed with life imprisonment.
