The Voice

It can be tiring in this world so unkind,

It can be tiring in this world so unkind, To wonder forever all on your own,

It can be tiring in this world so unkind, To wonder forever all on your own, Looking for a shelter to spend the night,

It can be tiring in this world so unkind, To wonder forever all on your own, Looking for a shelter to spend the night, And a kindly soul to ease your mind.

I am but a man looking for his home,

I am but a man looking for his home, Waiting for the sun to go down,

I am but a man looking for his home, Waiting for the sun to go down, Dreaming until my hopes wear me down,

I am but a man looking for his home, Waiting for the sun to go down, Dreaming until my hopes wear me down, Blinded by an idea that isn’t my own.

The world can seem so blue,

The world can seem so blue, When you have no clue what to do,

The world can seem so blue, When you have no clue what to do, Eternally searching for the hidden booth,

The world can seem so blue, When you have no clue what to do, Eternally searching for the hidden booth, Where you will find your own truth.

The clock will keep on ticking,

The clock will keep on ticking, But no matter how dark the night might be,

The clock will keep on ticking, But no matter how dark the night might be, I know the voice will keep singing,

The clock will keep on ticking, But no matter how dark the night might be, I know the voice will keep singing, Waiting for the time to get close to me.
