I hope you like this! I'll be doing a four part series with all the elements so a feedback would be appreciated! :)

𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒚 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 (𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉)

My thin figure lies on the earth

My thin figure lies on the earth, stretched out beyond

My thin figure lies on the earth, stretched out beyond, away from the world.

A white dress spread out over my thighs

A white dress spread out over my thighs, covering of what's left of me.

My black strands extending out of my temples

My black strands extending out of my temples, tangled up in the twigs and dead leaves.

The trees stand tall with their long branches and green leaves

The trees stand tall with their long branches and green leaves, rustling by the light wind that blew

The trees stand tall with their long branches and green leaves, rustling by the light wind that blew, prying over me like I might run away.

How could I?

When the life from these limbs is being sucked out

and the soul dying with every breath.

The sunlight seeping from the gaps

The sunlight seeping from the gaps, blazing on my pale skin and illuminating of what's left of my darkness.

My already blurred eyes squint from the brightness

My already blurred eyes squint from the brightness as my vision slowly fades away.

My fingertips trace the soil beneath me.

I try to pick up a chunk with my frail hands

I try to pick up a chunk with my frail hands and feel it crumble between them.

Like my body will as the end commences.

The time flies and night falls.

The stars glimmer on the black canvas

The stars glimmer on the black canvas and witnessing a cessation.

The roots from the trees

The roots from the trees, slowly but surely

The roots from the trees, slowly but surely, creep up to my body and coil themselves around my tenuous arms and legs.

I sense the pain as the thorns prick up to my bones.

My hands curl up to fists

My hands curl up to fists and my feet point straight ahead.

It tightens around the bodice as I gasp for air.

My eyes stare vacantly up the stars.

My eyes stare vacantly up the stars. A tear flows down my cold left cheek and my lips slightly part

My eyes stare vacantly up the stars. A tear flows down my cold left cheek and my lips slightly part, imprinting an impassive look.

And that was the last of it.

The days lengthen into months and into years.

My skin rots as layers of dust collect my dress and hair.

The hair being a nest and flesh being the food of the bugs and insects.

But then nature decides to grace me peace

But then nature decides to grace me peace as wisteria grows right over my bare feet

wisteria grows right over my bare feet, lillies sprouting out of my temples

lillies sprouting out of my temples, dandelions emerging out on my arms

dandelions emerging out on my arms, wildflowers surrounding my death bed

and red roses growing out from my once beating chest.

And I lie with poise

And I lie with poise, marking an existence of a mystery absconded deep into the woods.

A sentient soul now a home to little creatures.

A folklore for the future that is to come.
