Chapter 32.5: Chinese Restaurants Are Scary (Consecutive Goals)

Our whereabouts are currently at the gate of the resort near the beach where the cottage Mio's parents rented is at. It has been a long while since I last came to a resort.

Thinking about it makes me remember my cousins.

I wonder what they are doing on their vacation?

"Before we enter, why don't we fill our stomachs at the chinese restaurant over there."

Seems like driving made mr.Kahimoto hungry.

We set foot inside the building and ordered the food that captured our attention.

After considering the circumstances, I ordered the cheapest on the menu, Jeremy did the same and Mio chose a tasty looking meal. The married couple picked an average looking food.

Mio's order was the most expensive out of all of us.

As we waited for what we ordered to be served, Mushitaro Kashimoto kept cracking lame jokes as me and Jeremy forced our laughter in order to give respect.

The waiter soon camed and served the food that was about to be eaten.

As I watched him prepare the plates, a simple thing bothered me.

The sweat started to come out of my glands without me noticing. Before I knew it, I became nervous.

"You okay?"

Jeremy's voice made me snap out of my anxiety. However, it wasn't enough to remove the feeling of uncertainty.

"Uhm...yes?"

His face became puzzled as to why I'm acting weird.

"If you say so then fine, just be sure to tell us if something's wrong."

Everyone started eating which brought shivers down my spine.

They all know how to use chopsticks.

I began contemplating my decisions as I emptily gazed at my chopsticks. Slowly, I began accepting defeat.

They were halfway on to their meal and I still haven't eaten a single grain of rice. Sacrifice, dignity and eating are the words that popped onto my head.

I swallowed my pride as I say these line;

"Do you have a spoon that I can use since I don't know how to use chopsticks?"

Everyone held back their chuckles when they began seeing my eyes water.
