Have you ever tried to fill the void inside your bed?
At night, I wrap my arms around myself in an attempt to fill the void,
Then I realize it is not enough,
So, I stretch one arm out and place the other arm on top,
Thinking maybe if I can fill the space in my bed I won’t be so lonely,
Maybe for once,
my heart will be full and I will sleep,
This is every night,
Except for last night,
You filled the space in my bed and for once my arms did not have to try to have to try to fill the void a person is supposed to,
For once there is no void,
Loneliness ran off,
Blowing me kisses and wishing me a blissful sleep,
The only problem is you are never here,
And when you leave loneliness comes back and reminds me how tired I am.
