The Apple Watch vs. The Fitbit: Which one is better for your lifestyle?

Ever since Apple made its debut into the athletic world with the Apple Watch Sport, there has been a debate on whether the Apple Watch or the Fitbit is more versatile and which one makes more sense to purchase. They both provide step counts, calorie counts, messages (depending on which Fitbit you purchase), and they both motivate you to get off your couch and get your workout in.

So, which one is better? Which one fits the lifestyle you live? I’m here to compare the two and let you decide how the two watches fit into your lifestyle. The Apple Watch Currently, I own the Apple Watch and absolutely love it. I am able to see my messages and respond via the “scribble” selection or the Siri selection.

I am also able to hit a premade message saying “I am busy, will respond later” and so forth. With the Apple Watch, I am able to use the maps app to get to where I am going, call an Uber, check my email, and download just about any app I have on my phone. These features can be just the thing for you or everything you wish to avoid.

Who knows? You could be the person who doesn’t want a single app on your wrist and wishes to avoid constant contact at all costs, which probably means the Fitbit is for you. Personally, I work from my phone so having the option to go running without it or go grab my coffee and leave my phone on my kitchen counter and still be able to get important alerts has been a game changer for me.

The Fitbit I have gone through my fair share of Fitbits and have loved every single one of them. Although they don’t match many of my outfits as my Apple Watch does, they had my back with all my workouts and calorie counting.

The Fitbit is for those of you who like to keep track of your calorie burning but don’t like to receive a phone call or a message on your wrist at all times. Let’s just say it’s a much simpler version of the Apple Watch in the sense that the features you can download are not as available on the Fitbit.

So for those of you who live a simpler lifestyle and want minimal communication when working out, this watch is for you!
