Hey my name is *****, and I'd like to tell you about the time I first fell in love
I thought getting butterflies in my stomach was the epitome of love
But she took a key and opened my stomach
And took my butterflies and raised them to be dragons.
I thought the future was such an uncertainty
And that you just had to "Be ready for it"
Until I pressed my lips against hers
And I could just taste the next 60 years with her.
I thought that when the day came when we were in the rocks
We'd be bruised and brittle
But she surfed the rocks like a wave
And reached her hand out for me to grab.
But I missed
And our hands slipped and I watched her ride the wave away.
Hey my name is ***** and I'd like to tell you about the time I've waited for that wave to come back around
But I can only tell that story once I see it again
So if you don't mind, I have to go back to sea-watching.
Thanks for listening
