Mafuyu remembered the time when he was really young, when Yuki had lifted him up.
He'd always been a rather distant kid. But Yuki invited him to come along with him, to play. It was under this very tree.
And now, he was sitting here with Uenoyama. It was different now, of course, but Mafuyu had found someone he wanted to cherish once again.
"I never told you much about him, did I?" Mafuyu asked.
Ue shook his head. "You don't need to."
Mafuyu smiled in his angelic way. "I think I've been silent for too long."
*I don't want to assume things about Mafuyu's past too much so I'm skipping this (I haven't seen the movie yet so)*
By the time Mafuyu was done talking, Uenoyama was really shocked.
How could there be this much inside something so seemingly fragile? But the truth was Mafuyu was strong, stronger than anyone Ue knew.
Ue really wanted to just pull him closer and embrace him, protect him.
"That song you were singing. It wasn't the one from the performance, is it a new one?" Ue asked.
"Yeah. I can't seem to find good chords though." Mafuyu said.
"I can help you there." Ue brought out his guitar and started strumming, checking the tuning. "Sing for me."
Mafuyu barley got the first note out of his mouth before a person ran into the clearing, shouting his name.
(Sorry about the shortness! Part 3 will be there, I just had to be evil and put a cliffhanger.)
