The forest lay burnt, and torn asunder.

Resurrection

The forest lay burnt,

and torn asunder.

But in the wasteland,

the first signs of life.

Grasses begin to spring forth.

Flowers begin to bloom.

Young trees,

starting their lives.

Growing in the sun,

that their fathers left behind.

Birds have come.

And squirrels with them.

Deer arrive to graze.

Life goes on.

For it must.

With a great death,

comes a great rebirth.
