To cut my wrists would be a great pleasure. And a great regret.

Ending It

To cut my wrists would be a great pleasure.

And a great regret.

I would like to end the pain.

But I cannot leave them behind.

My family, Libby,

my beautiful wife, who stands by me.

Benjamin, my first born son.

Smart and sweet.

Drake, my second born,

strong and brave.

They all love me,

even when I don't.

And as much as I'd like to end it.

I can't bear the sadness it would create,

for them.

So I struggle forward.

It is not an option.

Ending my life.

A temptation. A relief.

But never an option.

Not so long as I am needed.

Duty comes first.

Before my happiness.

Before my death.

Before my escape from this mortal coil.
