I went to the beach once The sun was warm on my skin Low enough to form a clear gradient in the sky Pink fading into blue A beautiful day
The waves of the sea travelled back and forth With sounds of water oscillating alongside it What a perfect time to relax
But the waves grew I saw them coming towards me Larger and larger
I only wanted to enjoy the sunset
Before I knew it, the waves had already taken me I was submerged in water And I couldn’t get out I can’t swim, you see
So, I struggled and struggled And tried with all I had To get out of this sea
I called and screamed for help But no one turned up There was only me
Because this sea was my own sea The sea of sadness And the only one who could see Was me.
