It's another wicked morning.....

Wicked Morning

Wicked Morning By: Mike Mezz (Narrative Poetry)

This world is falling apart Getting torn from the seams Watching kindness depart For violence, hatred and bigotry

Massacring the innocent People dying in the streets Crimes against immigrants Murder in the Middle East

No one even attempts peace Making war is the cowards way out Harmony is to hard to achieve Putting our future in doubt

It's another wicked morning

It's another wicked morning The world is withering away

It's another wicked morning The world is withering away Another ominous warning

It's another wicked morning The world is withering away Another ominous warning Chaos is the game they play

A plague ravages all nations People struggling to survive The selfish refuse vaccinations Allowing the vulnerable to die

Record profits for corporations While opposing a living wage They want complete subjugation Giving bribes to political campaigns

"NOBODY WANTS TO WORK!"

From their pedestals they yell Looking down from their ivory tower Safe from this pandemic hell Behind their golden walls they cower

It's another wicked morning

It's another wicked morning The world is withering away

It's another wicked morning The world is withering away Another ominous warning

It's another wicked morning The world is withering away Another ominous warning With our lives we sadly pay

It's another wicked morning

It's another wicked morning With nowhere to hide away
