Traveling back and forth on a lost highway.

Unsaid Escape

Unsaid Escape By: Mike Mezz

I gave you my heart and all the love I had You wasted a good thing for our future Now, it seems we are both sad Wandering around like zombies Dazed and roaming in an unknown land

Traveling around without feelings of our own Going back and forth on a lost highway Making sure people don't notice we are alone Knowing in our hearts we should've captured the day

But you let it go, so that's the price we paid

We left so much unsaid You left us before it began I was willing to wait All you did was escape

I know it wasn't a lack of love For we had all of it here for us We were each others stars shining above Now we tumble around in the mud Looking down the road that made us one

High water is tough to drive through But once on the other side the ride is smooth Your first reaction was to swim away And to leave behind a love that was true

You forgot all about what was me and you

Many things were left unsaid I was willing to wait You left us before we began And you made your escape
