Your memories will keep you young inside

Across The Sky

Across The Sky By: Mike Mezz

1985 We were young and so alive Traded Hot Wheels for kissing New Coke not worth drinking Introducing the Nintendo

We were all out of control Fell in love with rock and roll Michael Jordan was a rookie We were always playing hooky Springsteen on the radio

Everyone watched Atlantis fly Launch and streak across the sky

1986 We were young and out for kicks We we're walking like Egyptians Mike Tyson was the champion Holding hands across America

We were all out of control Still in love with rock and roll Top Gun down at the drive-in But the girls drew our attention Wept together as Challenger explodes

Everyone watched Halley's Comet fly Streak and flash across the sky

Your memories will keep you young inside Old friends will be etched into time Your very first kiss will never leave your mind

When you die to the heavens you will fly Like fireworks on The Fourth of July Streak, flash and shoot across the sky

We'll light up the s ky
