Person You Used to Be

by mikayda

Once so happy, now so sad, Not sure what happened But I want the happy back

You put on a face, to hide your fear. But those that know, hear your fear.

What has changed? We don't really know, other than your ego.

You are loved and you must know.

I miss the old you, I want you back, because without you... I am sad.

Really nice message. Your writing reveals a sadness of misplaced identity. The construction of the poem brings your message with a lyrical group of verses. This was a sensitive and tender expression of love and friendship. Great job.
