Where have they gone can't find them anywhere

Thanks?? Where Have you gone

Thank you a Collective of two small words that mean so much to so many people.

When I was growing up you couldn't cross the street without tripping over a thank you or two.

Even then you had to be careful not to step on a please or two.

It was strange people were going round throwing out thank you and please like it was confetti it was everywhere .

Now i go along turning up old bits of tin and looking under park benches.

I go back home and start looking in cupboards and kitchen draws.

And very rarely do i ever come across a thank you nowadays and I haven't seen a please in years.

I have no idea if it's just in my country or if the world has forgotten how to say thanks or please.

This was an incredibly concise look into the problem of today's culture. No appreciation. Every act, every word has become an entitlement. People think they are owed. I am fortunate enough to live in Texas. When I go into the grocery, I get "Yes sir", "No sir", "Thank you sir", "Can I help you find something sir?", "Can I carry that to your car for you sr." This is from everyone from 3 yrs old to 100yrs old. But it does not exist anywhere else in the USA. Thank you for letting me vent. Great post!!!
