It’s who I am.

There’s something about writing in the perspective of someone else.

I know it’s not myself, but it’s also not someone else.

It’s something so hard to describe, and I feel like if I try I just sound insane.

Characters live in a world of their own. One that I create, and one that they create inside of me.

I know how they move, how they act in every situation. Their consistency, their development.

“No, they wouldn’t say that.” “That’s not realistic enough.” “That’s too generic.” “They don’t have a strong enough personality.”

I purposefully don’t ask for help when creating a personality.

It’s a therapy, a passion, an escape. It’s beautiful, honest, and cathartic.

It’s who I am.

An author.
