That small hint of home was all I could want. I stayed by my friends' sides until they left. I felt my heart being torn in two as I walked home from drama class.
The one who said he loved me, left me for this girl. She has soft blue eyes like a dog. and blonde hair that shines like gold in the sun.
What was it he saw in her that he didn't see in me?
I never knew.
She had a snobbish outlook on life. While I took it on, one day at a time.
She treated everyone like nothing, like they didn't matter. But I treated everyone better than I treated me.
I didn't know why, but she hated me too.
I told no one about it. The pain I felt inside when I saw them walking hand in hand was almost unbearable.
I went into my room, locked the door, and went to my desk. I took out a notebook and started to write a note for the man I thought I knew. My man, called Ryan.
Ryan went away, with the girl, and left me alone. I took out my pocket knife I had for self defense.
I stabbed myself, then fell to the floor. The blood dripped from the wound.
My Uncle came home, he was watching me while my parents were out touring different countries in Europe.
He called 9-1-1. Then next thing I knew, I was being rushed into an ambulance.
I woke up the next day, feeling sore. I looked to my right, and I saw Ryan. My Ryan.
He held my free hand tightly in his. And I could see the tears in his dark brown eyes. His jet black hair was messy and looked like he'd been up all night.
I wanted to die, right there. But Something made me will to stay awake. He told me he loved me.
He LOVED me.
He dropped the brown eyed girl for me when he heard I was in Emergency Care.
He told her that it was fun while it lasted, but he knew where is heart was supposed to be.
That's why he came to my bed-side when I needed someone.
I only smiled, then I closed my eyes. The machine kept a steady tone.
Ryan shook me, yelling for medics.
I woke again, in the next few days. Ryan was still by my side.
I asked him why...
His answer brought tears to my eyes.
"Because I love you too much to leave you alone. Your uncle at work, and parents away. I just want to stay with you. And I always will."
He leaned over...
then kissed me.
"I love you too much to let you go."
