Just an attempt to pen down my thoughts. Please feel free to provide some constructive criticism. Always looking for ways to learn and improve.

Respite

The burning light streaked the sky, A multitude of colors heralded the end,

Clouds converged to bid adieu, Trees swayed to disperse the forming dew.

Flowers perfumed the air , As the animals returned to their lairs.

An ethereal glow illuminated every eye, Some reflected a day that lacked, While some, a mind that sagged.

As the birds chanted their tribute, All joy and all strife turned mute. Every spirit found itself touched , Every mind was bereft of any grudge.

Suspended in serenity, The air screamed with just one lesson,

"Happy is the soul that finds its heaven, But Mother Nature always creates some havens, Just look for it my friend ! "

Rendered eternal in thoughts but momentary in time, Souls found themselves weary again , as the glow seemed to die.

Darkness was what it sprang from And darkness was what it descended into.

Night was thrust upon us.
