Quote- Sometimes all you can do is smile, move on with your day, hold back the tears, and pretend you’re okay.
I woke up to the sound of the wailing alarm clock. I automatically pressed the off button, and stared at the clock for a good minute to remember what today was. I groaned loudly. It was the first day of highschool. I was scared but at the same time angered. I didn’t want to go back to the hell of my peers and I didn’t want to go to a new school with three other grade levels.
I jumped out of my bed and slowly walked to the closet with. When I got to my closet my grandmother came in to check on me.
“Good morning sunshine, how was your sleep?”, she asked me. “ It was ok I guess, I still feel tired.”, I replied. “ Ok, what are you going to wear?” “ Oh the norm, khakis, a navy blue polo, and a jacket.” “ Ok, also, breakfast will be served in a minute.” “ Yes mam, thank you.” “ Your welcome.”
When she left the room, I got dressed and grabbed my sketchbook and pencils so I could draw when I needed to do something while waiting.
That morning my grandmother made Omelettes and toast with a good cup of hot tea. When I left for school, we both exchanged hug. “Have a great day!” she said. “I will…. I will….”
