I sighed softly, as I stepped out of my house, and closed the door, the slightly cool air brushing against my cheeks lightly. I love this kind of weather.
It's a mix of cold, but warm enough that you don't have to wear a jacket.
Late afternoon walks are my favorite. Especially after a stressful day at school.
I slowly made my way forward, not caring about where I ended up, and soon found myself at my favorite place to hangout. The park.
I happily made my way towards the playground, where I usually sit, and think about life, when I saw a boy- about my age- sitting on the swing set, looking down at the ground sadly.
I slowly made my way towards him, when he spoke.
"Ah... What have I done...? Now I have no place to go." He cried to himself. I froze, for a second and stared at him.
"He's homeless?" I thought to myself. I then smiled to myself, a plan coming to mind, as I continued walking towards him, and sitting down on the swing right next to him.
"Hey." I said softly. The boy snapped his head towards me, and I found myself speechless.
"Y-Y-Yes?" He said stuttering slightly, as he used his sleeve to wipe his eyes.
"Are you okay?" I asked, worry lacing together with my soft words.
The boy nodded his head, and looked down slightly, biting his lower lip as it trembled, and tears began to slide down his face again.
I stood up without thinking, and quickly wrapped my arms around him, holding him tightly against my body.
